Lough Arrow Situated in Co. Sligo has long been recognised as one of the great limestone Loughs.
The trout average 1.5lbs but 6 or 7lb fish to the fly are not uncommon.
The season on Lough Arrow does not open until April 1st and runs until September 30th.
The main hatches in April are Duckfly, followed by it’s
famed mayfly hatches in mid May. Late July and August see
some great Greenpeter hatches in the evening.
Lough Arrow is often more productive to Dry-fly methods than traditional wet-fly or Lough style fishing.
